Big Overhaul!
Hello! It's been a while.
I've been wanting to write another entry, but I've been held back by how messily I'd written my previous site, and how impossible it felt to jump back into. So I did what any sane person would do: I started from scratch! Kind of funny seeing how my last post was another large redesign.
My art galleries are still on my to-do list, but I actually figured out how I want to do it all now. It'll just take some elbow grease. The gallery in my commissions section is the basic setup I'm thinking of doing, with page tabs for subsections. It loads a million times faster than how I had my old ones set up (I hadn't figured out thumbnails or lazy loading yet, no wonder), I'm really glad about that!
I also feel reinvigorated to try to learn Javascript again. I hate messing around with stuff blindly, hoping it'll magically work. I think it would be really rewarding to understand what I was doing.
I finally set up my ko-fi shop and got my "Fetch" comic PDF all laid out and ready for print using Affinity Publisher. I have the PDF and physical zine up for sale on my ko-fi shop now! It's really hard for me to put these big steps into action (every step forward is like scaling a sheer wall, emotionally), and I'm really proud of myself. Now I want to find some irl markets to sell my prints, what with getting my old PRO-100 printer up and running.
What else... the game I'm doing art for is progressing well! We had a spot in an indie showcase, where we released a new demo trailer!
Generally, I'm kinda just keeping to myself and working on/through things. I've had a lot of large life changes in the past few months, and I feel lucky I have support in my life to get through the tough parts. I'm trying my best to keep my head up!
Here's some screenshots of the old site, for funsies 🔎
